is what i would have loved to say. In truth, he did not miss much, what with Juve leading Serie A by 10 points and Arsenal languishing in fifth in EPL.

Will the team stand up and be counted ? To show their former captain "Thanks for the memories but no thanks" ?

I dont know. Juventus shouldnt be a worry. We beat them 3-1 at home the last time we met and lost 0-1 at their place. They did not have Vieria then. But we beat Edgar Davids comprehensively.

We survived whatever Real thrown at us in the second leg. We struggled to add to the 1-0 advantage of the first leg. Juve defence is as unlikely to be as generous ? yet they conceded 4 goals over 2 legs to Werder Bremen. And Arsenal conceded none in the last 6 matches, one game short of equaling AC Milan 7 shutouts record in this competition. with a make shift back four that costs less than 3 million.

Too many variables. Analysis is futile.

I cant wait for the first whistle. Vieria or no, they are there for the taking.

Or that world class World cup 98, European cup 2000 frenchies Vieria, Pires and Henry costs 3.5m, 7.5 and 11m pounds respectively ?

And 2002 World Cup Gilberto Silva was available for 5 m ?
